What types of materials can I put in the dumpster?

What can’t be disposed of in the dumpster?
Hazardous wastes cannot be placed in the dumpster. This includes paints, solvents, liquids, asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles, tires, computer monitors or hard drives or any electrical equipment with plugs.
How full can I fill the dumpster?
Dumpsters can be filled level to the top, with the exception of clean concrete waste type dumpsters. These dumpsters must not be filled more than half full due to weight restrictions. (Haulers could face prosecution for the hauling of unsafe or overweight loads).
How much notice do I need to provide when requesting my dumpster?
Same day service is available if your order is placed before 10:00 AM.
Can the dumpster be stationed or placed on public land?
Some states require a special permit to place your rental dumpster on public property. Please contact your local government for information specific to your area and allow time to arrange for your permit before the dumpster delivery date. For information specific to the Rockford area, call Public Works at 815-967-6744.
What are the exact dimensions of the dumpster I'll receive?
15 cubic yard dumpsters are approximately 8 ft. wide, 5 ft. high and 12 ft. long. Our 20 cubic yard dumpsters are approximately 8 ft. wide, 6 ft. high and 17 ft. long.
What if I don’t know what size dumpster I require?
Give us a call at 815-633-HAUL (4285) to speak to a member of our team and we'll help you determine which size would be best for the job you have planned.
How long do I get to keep the dumpster?
Dumpster can be rented for 1 week. Additional days are billed $5.00 per day.
What if I’m not finished with my dumpster by the time it is due to be picked up?
Please call our customer service team at 815-633-HAUL (4285) for assistance rescheduling your dumpster pick up. Remember, from October to March, there are never any additional fees.
When and how can I pay for the dumpster rental?
Payment is always due at the time of your dumpster delivery. Rockford Transport accepts MasterCard, Visa and Discover for your convenience. Checks can also be written at the time of delivery but a person must be on-site to accept the delivery and make payment.
How much weight is acceptable to put in the dumpster?
This depends on the specific size of the dumpster you rent. During the order process, we will provide you with information regarding the weight limits for each different dumpster size we have available.
How do I dispose of my hazardous chemicals that cannot go in the dumpster?
Please contact your local government for assistance with hazardous waste disposal regulations for your area or call Rockford Transport customer service department at 815-633-HAUL (4285) and we can
assist you.

Can I get a dumpster delivered on Sunday?
Absolutely. We are open 7 days a week and can deliver your dumpster to you whenever it's necessary.
