Rockford Transport Inc was established in 1993 by Craig and Glenda Sockwell. The company started with just one truck, one customer, and a guiding motto, “our expectation is customer satisfaction.” Over the first 10 years, Rockford Transport Inc grew through word of mouth and customer testimony. During that time, the Sockwells invested their profits back into the company to purchase state-of-the-art equipment. During the 2000s, Rockford Transport Inc grew rapidly.
Today, Rockford Transport Inc still values each and every customer as much as our first. The most valued customer is a returning customer. We strive every day to form permanent relationships with local developers and construction companies in the Northern Illinois region.

In 2004, Rockford Transport Inc was named “Small Business of The Year” by the Northern Illinois Minority Company Association. The company is currently certified as a Minority Business Enterprise by the city of Rockford. Rockford Transport Inc was also recognized as “People You Can Count On” by Rockford Registered Star.
